Who we are
Make a Melody is one of the leading Music, Art, and Play Therapy providers here in Northern Ireland.
How we help
We offer a unique and powerful medium for emotional expression, mental wellbeing and development.
The difference we make
Every day we visit schools, day centres, hospitals, hospices, residential support facilities, and home visits.
Music Therapy
Music therapy in Northern Ireland is a specialised form of therapy that utilises music to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs. Trained music therapists employ various music-based techniques, such as improvisation, singing, playing instruments, songwriting, listening and discussions, to support clients in achieving their goals.

Art Therapy
Art therapy in Northern Ireland is a form of expressive therapy that uses creative art-making to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Combining psychotherapeutic techniques with the creative process, it helps individuals express difficult thoughts and feelings through visual means rather than words. Qualified art therapists work with people of all ages facing various challenges, helping them increase self-awareness, cope with stress, and experience the benefits of creative expression.
Play Therapy
Play therapy is a specialized therapeutic approach that uses play as a natural medium for children to express and process thoughts, feelings, and experiences they may struggle to verbalize. In a safe environment with carefully selected toys and activities, trained therapists help children work through emotional difficulties, trauma, or developmental challenges, facilitating healing and the development of healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, and social connections.

Person-Centred
Approach
Person-centered care is at the core of our music therapy approach, where each individual's unique preferences, needs, and goals take centre stage. By tailoring our music therapy interventions to the specific interests and experiences of our clients, we empower them to actively engage in their therapeutic journey and achieve meaningful and personalised outcomes.
